With all the discussion surrounding the ‘death of paper’ it’s always interesting to be reminded that the book itself is also a piece of technology. A very well designed and resilient one for sure, but a technology nonetheless. 
 More on the history of the book and how it informs the future of print soon, but suffice to say that although sympathising somewhat with the ‘books are special’ line, I honestly think that it’s just not thinking the situation through straight.
